The window is made up of many individual parts, any of which we here at KDI bespoke carpentry can replace, be it the main sill, which is a common part of the window to fail, or the sashes them selves.We use hard wood for the sills because of its rot resistance.

Both these advantages are again improved with the use of seals that can limit the air travel around the joinery(so transmitting noise and drafts) and aid the smooth motion of the sashes within the Box frame.
